Language Lab Unleashed @ CALICO (the presentation)

26 May 2007 | 1:27 am | Barbara |

–Note to all: I am back home now (after horrendous driving in the Dallas area…stories and pictures to follow) and will go through the liveblogging notes, clean things up, add more pics, and also add the LLU presentation. but first: I have to finish my final grades !!!–

Adapting the format used by EDUCAUSE and their “7 things you should about…” series, this presentation will hope to answer the following earth-shattering questions about LLU and the people behind it:

What is LLU? Where is Erin? What does it do? Why was it created? For whom was it created? How does it work? Where is it going? Whose dog is that anyway?….and of course the most important thing that is –really– on everyone’s mind during a Saturday a.m. session: Why should I care?

Didn’t we warn you about driving in Dallas?

No not IN Dallas…getting out of Dallas and back to Austin. Around Waxahatchie the skies opened up and there was nothing to do but float. Oh my. It appears that Texans, in the face of adverse weather conditions, put on their flashers….and then SPEED UP. Again, I repeat, oh my.

Pictures to follow.

As a near-native Texan, that sounds like pretty standard driving to me–can’t wait to see the pics!
