Erin and I are trying to figure out (okay, I have bashed and Erin has patiently figured out) how to make this wordpress blog also “broadcast” audio (or, turn it into an audioblog) such that iTunes (or any other audio “reader”) will pick up any new audio submissions.
I post an mp3 file in the WRITE POST section of my blog (I can’t figure out how to make it work from a sidebar yet…this seems to only work if it is in the main posting section of the blog**)
This is what the code looks like from “behind” : (insert your html arrow head thingees as needed)
a href=”insert website and the folder within the website where the mp3 file is residing” text –i.e the link people click on– and then end with a with those arrow head thingees on either side of an a
Meanwhile in iTunes, you go to Advanced–> subscribe to podcast—> and type in this url to get iTunes to “read” any new audio that is posted to the site….
in the case of my blog it is;
http://languagelabunleashed.edublogs.org/blog/?feed=rss2
**Erin just popped in to say she figured out how to make this work from the sidebars…. more later
But does anyone know how to make the feed jump DIRECTLY to iTunes? …With no messy url inserting needed?
