Congratulations to Ryan — on landing the job of his dreams — from all of us in a certain unconventional language center located in a small, quirky, liberal arts college. It was here where Ryan studied, worked and first discovered …a bit too well…. how to break technology when it gets in the way of letting learning happen.
Air kisses and tea and shortbread from the jauntily-clad, fabulously coiffed, doyenne of LLU as well.
It’s heartwarming to know that sometimes, if you really, truly, absolooootely want something to happen in your life, it can really happen. And it just did. Ka-boom.
And Ryan, on his blog over here, is clearly excited, wouldn’t you say?
Congratulations to UMW and to the DTLT bullpen. You now, officially, have absolutely the best Ed Tech batting line up in the Liberal Arts League. Game over.
Finally, a message to Ryan’s new boss, Jim Groom : Yeah, yeah, yeah…we get it. Srsly, could ya please try to contain your glee, 🙂 ?

I really, really love this comic. Many thanks for that, and for your support
over the years 🙂
Barbara,
This is what I really feel like right now:

RAWK!
And thank you for introducing us all at DTLT to Ryan back in 2008 at Faculty Academy.
He is back in the Liberal Arts league, and we all know that is where he belongs,
His connection with faculty and penchant for deep meaningful relationships around
ideas makes this a perfect fit, because as he knows after his on-campus interview,
that is what he will get. We have a cadre of faculty that are thrilled at the prospect.
And the funny thing about dreams, they work both ways. DTLT has had one of
its dreams for a full complement of awesome met yesterday—that’s a beautiful thing.
@Ryan,
Get your rest, you will need it 🙂
[…] though no one can ever accuse me of it I guess I have to finally pay that damn finders fee to Barbara Sawhill for bringing Ryan to Faculty Academy back in 2008 after all! DTLT is approaching warp speed right […]
