LLU Live (2013-2014)
LLU Live is a short and informal weekly gathering, loosely organized around a particular theme. This is not a webinar, however; each week’s host will be responsible for picking the topic, but ultimately it’s up to whomever’s in the room to decide where the conversation goes. We won’t promise to solve the world’s problems, but we will promise to keep it short. Because your time and ours is in short supply, each LLU Live will be about 20 minutes in length or less.
How to Participate
Starting with LLU Live #14, we are now testing a new video chat platform for our weekly LLU Live events. To join the conversation on any given week, simply visit http://appear.in/llulive in the browser of your choice. There should be no sign-in or software installation required, although you may need to give your browser permission to access your camera and microphone. Keep in mind that there’s no way to “lurk” in this new platform! It’s also first-come, first-served; the service we’re using supports a maximum of 8 participants at a time.
LLU Live Archives
Archived recordings from the first several weeks (after which we stopped recording) can be accessed on the Language Lab Unleashed YouTube channel. Full descriptions of each episode are also available here on the blog.
