Starting today, and thanks to many weeks of work with my Radio Ambulante colleagues Silvia Viñas and Clara González Sueyro, a new project is being launched: Radio Ambulante in the Classroom (#RAintheclassroom).
We have prepared a really short questionnaire to ask for information from teachers who have used RA’s stories in the classroom or teachers who are interested in getting started. If you use RA already, please let us know. If you are interested in learning more, adelante! There is a FAQ page as well which has helpful info about ways in which these stories can be an asset to your teaching and your students’ learning.
We conducted several hours of interviews with teachers this semester. These were teachers who had contacted us via our previous survey and who wanted to share their stories and best practices. Our conversations and their stories were amazing and we hope to share them with the rest of the world via the RA site very very soon.
(In fact, if you scroll down the page a bit you can see a couple of current testimonials…my own and a student whom I met who discovered Radio Ambulante while studying away in Argentina…we hope to add more of these stories)
One of our first goals is to create a space where teachers can share materials, ideas, herramientas for using RA in the classroom. We are open to ideas and welcome your comments.
I am super excited about working with the Radio Ambulante team and with the teachers I have met and will come to know through this project. There is more to come!
