The Sims again…

I have recently written about online karaoke. Well that site got an update (read=”was taken over”) and now features a lot more than online karaoke. Loosely based on the Sims, a language learning and technology classic, the site (called”Sims On Stage“) allows users to write or record stories, poetry pr comedy clips. Standard web 2.0 fare.

I thought that the “mashups” feature, though, looked quite interesting. It’s almost like making your own machinima movies right in your browser. It’s quite easy and free, go give it a try. Great for simple class projects that involve spoken and/or written language and visuals that don’t require any video or audio editing experience or software downloads/purchases.
